Julius Popp's Bit.fall (with 'Enjoy This')

At MONA (the Museum of Old and New Art), Hobart, Tasmania (mona.net.au)

Julius Popp's underground installation BIT.FALL displays words selected from the internet via drops of falling water. These drops come from 320 nozzles that are controlled by computer software and electromagnetic valves.

The ubiquitous yellow stickie...we all know how wonderful it is, reminding us to do stuff.

This project is about the things we notice as we go about our daily lives. I may have kickstarted the project, but it belongs to all of us – anyone, anywhere who wants to join in.

The 'FluxScore' is called that because of the 'flux' of life. The 'score' is a bit like a music score – anyone can play it.*

You can join in by doing one or more of the following:
1. contribute a word (needs to go with 'this' after it) to be made to a yellow stickie.
2. if you want to perform the score yourself, just put a yellow stickie anywhere, anytime and send in a photo by email.
3. or you can order a pad of yellow stickies with your word on (or any other of the words). This will be printed and mailed to you free of charge in exchange for a photo or two of where you put them!
4. or I can perform the score for you. Just describe what you would like me to do.
